Liga Asuransi – Hello, Entrepreneur Friends and Risk Management Practitioners! I hope you’re doing well, and that your business continues to thrive and succeed.

Today, I want to discuss a topic that’s a bit different from the usual. While we often delve into the world of risk management and insurance, this time we’re going to focus on another essential aspect—leadership. Leadership is a vital element, not only relevant to business success but also to our personal and professional growth.

If you find this article helpful, feel free to share it with your friends or business colleagues. I hope this information can inspire them as it provides new insights for you.

As the CEO of an insurance broker who has navigated numerous challenges, I deeply value leadership that is courageous, visionary, and committed to collective welfare. Feelings of pride, joy, and optimism filled my heart as I watched Prabowo Subianto’s inaugural addresses as President of Indonesia for the 2024–2029 term, including his remarks at the inauguration, the initial cabinet meeting, and his guidance during the Magelang training session. His speeches felt like an oasis long awaited—a breath of fresh air filled with vision, determination, and wisdom—qualities that seem to have faded over the past decade.

In each word and statement, Prabowo instilled a sense of pride in Indonesia’s immense potential. His grand vision was conveyed with clarity, conviction, and confidence, demonstrating his profound understanding of the country’s character and strengths. Prabowo recognizes Indonesia’s advantages and challenges: its vast geography, abundant natural resources, and a strong historical foundation that shapes the nation’s identity. In his speeches, he stressed that Indonesia must be a self-reliant nation, prioritizing independence in food security, energy, and economic growth. To him, self-reliance is not merely an ideal but imperative in today’s uncertain global landscape.

As a leader with a long-term perspective, I resonate with Prabowo’s recognition of the importance of building a solid foundation. He called upon his administration to take a deeper look, to assess programs and policies with clear metrics, and to avoid “monumental projects” that are attractive yet lack real substance. Prabowo envisions a path to progress that emphasizes tangible impacts on the people rather than ambitions without roots. This aligns with my own values—a desire to deliver real, widespread benefits to all citizens, particularly those grappling with hardships.

Prabowo’s speeches addressed fundamental issues that need immediate resolution to advance the nation: poverty, budget leakage, corruption, and dependence on foreign parties. With resolve, Prabowo made it clear that every form of corruption must be eradicated. His firmness and bravery reflect a leader who is undaunted by great challenges in the defense of national dignity and sovereignty. He openly reminded leaders at all levels to set a positive example for the people, underscoring that, under Prabowo’s leadership, integrity is not just a wish but a core pillar of governance.

In today’s evolving landscape, where nations are recalibrating their priorities amidst geopolitical tensions and economic shifts, Prabowo’s call for resilience and self-sufficiency is timely and necessary. His leadership invites Indonesia to forge its path confidently, to face international challenges with strength, and to engage with the global community from a place of strength and independence. This is a vision that resonates with business leaders across the country as we look forward to new opportunities for growth and partnership in a rapidly changing world.

Beyond his firmness, Prabowo Subianto also displays compassion and empathy in championing the needs of the less fortunate. His strategic initiative to provide nutritious meals for children and pregnant women is truly commendable. In this, Prabowo boldly stakes his leadership on ensuring that Indonesia’s future generations grow up healthy and competitive. This demonstrates that he is a leader focused not only on the present but also on the long-term future. As a CEO who values decision-making rooted in lasting impact, I fully appreciate and support his efforts to improve the quality of life for the people.

Additionally, Prabowo emphasizes the importance of unity and strong collaboration across national institutions. His speech in Magelang, addressed to his cabinet, deeply stirred a sense of nationalism. He urged his administration to understand Indonesia’s history, embody the spirit of the country’s heroes, and stay true to the legacy of independence. To Prabowo, effective leadership is rooted in a strong sense of national identity and an understanding of Indonesia’s vast potential. By instilling pride and patriotism, he aims to build a foundation of solidarity that can overcome any challenges that lie ahead.

Prabowo’s vision encompasses every facet of life for the Indonesian people. He understands that welfare cannot be achieved through mere promises. His emphasis on cross-ministerial synergy and cooperation to achieve self-sufficiency in various sectors highlights the importance of real action. Prabowo also recognizes the role of technology in efficiently channeling social assistance, aiming to streamline processes so that aid reaches those who truly need it by leveraging digital platforms.

Moreover, Prabowo does not shy away from challenging bureaucracy to be more flexible, responsive, and results-oriented. He seeks to ensure that his cabinet functions as a united team with a shared vision and effective collaboration. As a leader familiar with the dynamics of team coordination within organizations, I see Prabowo as someone who grasps the essence of collective leadership. It’s not just about distributing responsibilities; it’s about inspiring every cabinet member to contribute to shared goals.

Prabowo’s early speeches demonstrate intelligence, courage, and decisiveness in addressing the current realities. As someone who places great hope in the nation’s progress, I see a leader who genuinely understands the people’s needs and the challenges of the time. His grand vision is not an empty dream but a commitment supported by sincerity and resolve to tackle the country’s long standing issues.

I am confident that, under Prabowo’s leadership, Indonesia has a great opportunity to achieve meaningful progress. His speeches inspire optimism that Indonesia’s future is in capable hands—a leader with not only a clear vision but also a heartfelt dedication to serve the people and the homeland.

Prabowo Subianto’s leadership promises significant positive impacts on economic growth, employment, business opportunities, international trade, and both domestic and foreign investment development.

In the economic sphere, Prabowo’s focus on food and energy resilience will likely bring greater stability to domestic supply chains. Through self-sufficiency policies, Indonesia can reduce reliance on imports, creating opportunities to nurture local industries and directly invigorate the national economy. His infrastructure development plans, without “monumental” projects, reflect his commitment to investments that truly benefit society.

In the labor sector, Prabowo’s efforts to drive industrial downstreaming will open new job opportunities across various sectors, including agriculture, energy, and manufacturing. Supported by technology and innovation in processing natural resources independently, Indonesia can create high-value-added products, ultimately expanding job markets and enhancing workforce skills.

Prabowo’s policies to boost international trade and exports create substantial opportunities for local entrepreneurs to compete globally. With a focus on strategic commodities and the creative industry, his leadership is expected to broaden export markets and improve the competitiveness of Indonesian products worldwide.

Furthermore, Prabowo’s commitment to fostering a stable political environment is set to boost investor confidence, strengthening investment inflows and driving the growth of small to medium-sized enterprises. Thus, Prabowo envisions a sustainable, inclusive leadership that supports progressive and inclusive economic growth for Indonesia.

As a business leader, my hope for Prabowo Subianto’s leadership is the opening of various new opportunities across construction, mining, energy, industry, and trade. With a bold vision for self-sufficiency in food, energy, and industrial downstreaming, the government is expected to accelerate strategic projects that stimulate growth across these sectors. Policies aimed at strengthening infrastructure and maximizing the potential of domestic resources will create significant opportunities in construction and mining, aligning with efforts to enhance energy self-reliance.

Moreover, with the expansion of international trade and value-added industries, business opportunities in manufacturing and trade sectors are also expected to grow rapidly. This progress will have a ripple effect that drives the growth of the insurance industry. Construction, mining, energy, and trade activities will require robust insurance support to manage risks, sustain business continuity, and provide assurances that help projects run smoothly.

In other words, as these sectors expand, the insurance industry will flourish alongside them, meeting the demand for protection and risk management across various projects and enterprises. This creates a mutually reinforcing business ecosystem that advances national economic growth.

I am confident and optimistic that, under Prabowo Subianto’s leadership, Indonesia will achieve meaningful progress in the next five years. Economic prosperity, strengthened education and healthcare systems, and increased international recognition are key areas of shared hope. Prabowo has demonstrated a strong commitment to addressing major growth barriers, from import dependency to inefficiencies in resource management. With a focus on food and energy independence, our nation is poised to become more resilient and self-reliant.

As business actors, we see great opportunities aligned with this progress. Infrastructure development, industrial downstreaming projects, and proactive measures to attract foreign investment present tremendous potential in sectors like construction, energy, trade, and industry. With a more stable business climate supported by policies focused on people’s prosperity, we are optimistic that Indonesia’s progress will positively impact the business community.

We, as entrepreneurs, also look forward to participating in this growth, creating jobs, and boosting Indonesia’s competitiveness in the global market. We believe that with firm leadership and a clear vision, Indonesia will gain wider recognition on the global stage, ultimately benefiting all citizens and business players alike. This is a future full of potential and optimism for us all.
