According to the statementKaindukCipularang Highway Patrol Commissioner Joko Prihantono stated that the deceased was sitting in the front left seat of the travel vehicle. “The deceased was sitting in the front left seat,” he said.
The accident occurred at around 05.10 WIB, when the DayTrans travel car with police number D-7754-AJ hit the back of a dump truck with police number B-9256-PYV which was driving in lane two.
The deceased victim was identified as Tatang Muhidin (51), a resident of Mekarsari Subdistrict, Banjar City. Tatang died at the scene and was immediately evacuated to Abdul Rozak Hospital.
The initial suspicion is that the travel driver named Ibnu Suhud (35) fell asleep while driving from Bandung to Jakarta, so he didn’t have time to avoid the truck in front of him.
In addition to the fatalities, nine other passengers suffered minor injuries and have received medical treatment at the hospital.

A maritime accident occurred in the waters off Mlaten Village, Nguling District, Pasuruan Regency, on Sunday evening (October 12, 2025). The 15-tonne Sinar Bahari Fulungan sank after being struck by high waves and strong winds.
Although the ship sank, all 17 crew members on board survived. However, two of them were left floating at sea for about 12 hours, clinging to tires for survival.
Head of the Pasuruan City Police Water Police Unit, AKP Edy Suseno, explained that the ship set sail on Sunday afternoon at 16.00 WIB, bound for the Mlaten Sea. The ship belonging to Iwan was captained by Solikin (46), a resident of Tambak Lekok Village, Lekok District, and was carrying 16 crew members.
At around 5:30 PM WIB (Western Indonesian Time), the ship began operating by turning on its spotlights to attract fish. However, at 7:00 PM WIB, the ship encountered high waves and strong winds. Although the ship initially appeared stable, the captain suspected something was amiss and inspected the hold.
Sure enough, the rear deck of the ship was leaking and seawater was starting to pour in. To save the ship, Solikin cut the anchor rope and started the engines, trying to reach land. Unfortunately, only one engine was working, causing the ship to move very slowly as the waves continued to batter it until it finally capsized and sank.

Indramayu Police Traffic Chief, AKP Rizky Aulia Pratama, said the accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. WIB on the Cirebon-Jakarta route. A truck traveling from Cirebon lost control and hit three Elf minibuses in front of it.
“The truck was being driven while drowsy, hitting three Elf trucks in front of it. The first Elf was even pushed into the opposite lane, while the other two were also hit,” said Rizky.
There were no fatalities in the accident, but seven people suffered minor injuries and received medical treatment. Material losses are estimated at over IDR 50 million. Indramayu Police Traffic Unit officers have conducted a crime scene investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Traffic flow has now returned to normal.

A fire broke out in the kitchen of the Solaria Restaurant located in the Ciplaz Klender Mall, East Jakarta, on Thursday (October 9, 2025). According to the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat), the fire caused approximately Rp 50 million in losses.
The Head of Operations at the East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency, Abdul Wahid, explained that a 50-square-meter kitchen area was destroyed by the fire. “The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit in the chiller,” he said.
The incident was first discovered around 8:20 a.m. WIB when building management received reports of smoke at the rear of the restaurant. The building’s automatic sprinkler system helped contain the fire before firefighters arrived on the scene.
Seven fire trucks and 35 personnel were deployed to the scene. The fire was brought under control at 8:40 a.m. Western Indonesian Time and declared completely extinguished at 8:43 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. There were no fatalities as the restaurant was not yet open at the time.

A vehicle repair warehouse belonging to PT Merak Jaya Beton, located on Jalan Arteri Porong, Sidoarjo, was engulfed in a massive fire on Monday morning (10/13/2025) at around 9:30 a.m. WIB. The incident was accompanied by six loud explosions, startling workers nearby.
According to an eyewitness named Juli, the explosion came from a truck tire and several LPG cylinders in the work area. “At that time, several employees were welding near the gas cylinders. Suddenly, it exploded, and we immediately ran for our lives,” he said.
Another witness, Budianto, said sparks from the welding process allegedly hit an LPG cylinder, triggering the initial explosion. The fire then spread rapidly, engulfing part of the warehouse.
Dozens of workers scrambled to escape, while thick black smoke could be seen billowing in the distance. Three fire trucks were deployed to control the blaze, and after 45 minutes, it was extinguished.
There were no fatalities in the incident, but several trucks in the area were immediately moved to prevent the fire from spreading. The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation by authorities.

The fishing vessel Anugerah Indah 18 was engulfed in a massive fire off Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, on Wednesday (October 9, 2025). Eight crew members were killed in the incident, with one fatality and seven others suffering serious burns.
After being successfully evacuated to Muncar Port, Banyuwangi, on Saturday (11/10/2025), all victims were immediately taken to Blambangan Regional Hospital to undergo intensive care.
One of the surviving crew members, Doni Setiawan, said that the ship carrying 26 crew members from various cities in Central Java suddenly emitted thick smoke from the engine room at around 11.00 local time.
“As soon as smoke was seen, five crew members immediately went to the engine room to check. Shortly afterward, a loud explosion was heard, followed by flames,” he said.
The situation became even more dangerous when the freon exploded, releasing toxic fumes that complicated the evacuation process. After the smoke subsided, the injured were rescued, and the ship’s captain immediately called for assistance from other nearby vessels.
Two hours later, a relief ship arrived to evacuate the victims and assist with the firefighting efforts. However, the fire flared up again due to a subsequent explosion, eventually destroying the entire ship.
The Head of the Banyuwangi Police Water Police Unit, Commissioner Wahyudi, confirmed the incident. “Seven crew members suffered serious burns, and one died. All victims are currently being treated at Blambangan Regional Hospital,” he said.
