Fire teams are still struggling to extinguish the fire which continues to burn. Head of the Bekasi Disdamkarmat Fire and Rescue Division, Namar Naris, conveyed the initial suspicion that the fire was triggered by an explosion in the factory’s production equipment.

“The fire has been successfully localized, but the central part which is still covered by material has not been completely extinguished. “We hope that in the next 2-3 hours the fire can be completely extinguished so that the cooling process can be carried out immediately,” explained Namar Naris.
