The chronology of the incident began when PT CCI heavy equipment operator, Suwarno, was digging a hole 4 meters long, 2 meters wide and 2.5 meters deep for pipe installation. After the hole had been dug, the two workers went down to take measurements. Suddenly, water came out of the right side of the earthen wall, causing the ground above to collapse and crushing the two workers.
“At that time, the heavy equipment operator immediately tried to help by digging up the soil that was burying the two workers,” explained Ipda Dian Kristianto. After the rescue attempt, both of them were immediately given medical assistance by the team in the field and taken to the Rubini Mempawah Regional Hospital.
Upon arrival at the hospital, Irhamsyah was declared dead, while Tanjung Rianto was referred to Abdul Aziz Singkawang Regional Hospital for further treatment. On Monday, August 5 afternoon, Irhamsyah’s body was returned to his hometown in East Aceh.

Two workers, Agus Maulana (21) from Ciamis and Yayan, a driver from Pasirnagara Village, Pamarican District, Ciamis Regency, West Java, died at the scene.
Three other workers, Ikbal Arsalan, Ramdani, and Abdul Rahmad, who also comes from Ciamis, suffered injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the Karang Mulya Community Health Center. Their condition is reported to have improved.

Huge Fire at Banda Aceh Police Dormitory Complex, 12 Houses Burned Down
A tense early morning enveloped the police dormitory complex in West Lamteumen Village, Jaya Baru District, Banda Aceh City. On Tuesday, August 6 2024, at around 03.00 WIB, a fierce fire destroyed at least 12 houses where police personnel lived.

Tragically, Mothers Killed by Drunk College Students in Pekanbaru
Saturday morning, August 3 2024, on Jalan Tuanku Tambusai, Marpoyan Damai District, Pekanbaru City, a traffic accident occurred which claimed the life of a motorbike rider, Renti Marningsih, 46 years old. This accident involved a Toyota Raize car driven by a 21 year old student, Marisa Putri.
