The fire that was raging at the scene was extinguished sometime later. The following is some information regarding the fire incident at the Tendean TransJakarta Bus Stop:
On Monday (14/8/2023), around 17.45 WIB, a fire occurred at the Tendean TransJakarta bus stop. All passengers who were at the bus stop were evacuated and moved through the bus stop exit.

The fire incident at the Tendean TransJakarta bus stop caused traffic jams. The traffic jam occurred on Jalan Captain Tendean in the direction of Mampang Prapatan and Jalan Wolter Monginsidi in the order of Jalan Captain Tendean, which is in the South Jakarta area (Jaksel).
The congestion is caused by the many motorized vehicles on the road. However, the bottleneck situation finally eased a short time after the incident.

Even though he was successfully evacuated, Heryanto died due to the incident.
The accident occurred when Heryanto tried to get on the truck to return to the pick-up location (pool). However, the crane he was controlling suddenly swerved and fell, hitting the end of the trailer truck body and causing Heryanto to be pinned under the crane body.
Panji Herlambang from the Banten National SAR Agency (Basarnas) said that Heryanto’s condition when he was evacuated was terrible. An intense fire incident occurred at a restaurant on Jalan KH Syafe’i Hazami, Kebayoran Lama Selatan, South Jakarta. This fire happened on the night of Friday (11/8/2023) and is adjacent to the Gandaria City Mall (Gancit).
Based on information from the Head of the South Jakarta Fire Management and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-agency, Syamsul Huda, initial suspicions indicated that the fire started from burning trash behind the “Bu Sri” restaurant, which sells Soto Seger.
The fire then spread to the parking garage and applied to the parked motorbike. This fire incident is increasingly widespread around the Gandaria City Mall.
Syamsul stated that a firefighting team had been deployed with 25 fire engines and 100 personnel to extinguish the fire. Officers arrived at the location at 18.20 WIB.
Luckily, there were no reports of casualties in this incident. Material losses due to this fire are still being calculated.
As many as 75 motorbikes were reported burnt as a result of the fire at the restaurant. The Kebayoran Lama Police Chief, Kompol Widya Agustiono, revealed that the owner of the motorbike affected by the fire had reported it to the police.
The “Bu Sri” restaurant and the surrounding area affected by the fire have been sterilized. The police established a police line to secure the crime scene (TKP) from unauthorized interference.
Material losses are still in the data collection stage, and vehicle owners who experience losses are encouraged to report them to the police by bringing proof of vehicle ownership.
The Kebayoran Lama Police Chief, Kompol Widya Agustiono, appealed to the motorbike’s owner that caught fire in the incident to report it to the police and bring proof of vehicle ownership.
The victim’s report will be used to make a police letter that can assist them in the claim process or vehicle reordering.
Previously, the “Soto Seger Bu Sri” food stall on Jalan K.H. Syafe’i Hazami, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, was engulfed in fire on Friday night (11/8). The shop owner, Ngadino, was directly affected by the fire.
The police are still conducting an in-depth investigation regarding the fire that occurred at a restaurant on Jalan KH Syafe’i Hazami, Kebayoran Lama Selatan, South Jakarta, or near Gandaria City Mall (Gancit) on Friday (11/8/2023).
The Kebayoran Lama Police Chief, Kompol Widya Agustiono, explained that together with an identification team from the South Jakarta Metro Police, they had investigated the crime scene (TKP). Currently, five witnesses have been questioned by the police.
Widya explained further that the exact cause of this fire is still unknown. They are still waiting for the investigation results from the National Police Headquarters Forensic Laboratory team, which has equipment that is more competent in identifying the cause of the fire.
Widya also clarified the news about the two people who were secured. He stated that the two individuals, namely the owner of the Soto Seger restaurant “Bu Sri” and the parking attendant, had been brought in for questioning during the investigation process. This action was taken because they were at the scene of the crime and were deemed to have some responsibility for the fire, although the exact cause of this incident is still unclear.
The police have yet to conclude the cause of the fire that occurred at the restaurant on Jalan KH Syafe’i Hazami, Kebayoran Lama Selatan, South Jakarta, or near Gandaria City Mall (Gancit) on Friday (11/8/2023).

Widya also commented on reports of people burning garbage. He stated that this information still needed further verification. Investigators are looking for witnesses who said this to obtain more detailed information.
“There is no definite confirmation yet. We are looking for witnesses or parties who said this. Thus, the fire’s starting point is still unclear,” said Widya.

Tegal Jongor Harbor Fires and Scorches 52 Ships
The fire incident at Jongor Harbor, Tegalsari, Tegal City, Central Java (Central Java), resulted in several significant changes. Based on the information gathered, the incident occurred on the night of Monday (14/8/2023) and caused considerable damage to many ships in the port. Luck came because there were no reports of casualties from this fire.
Despite this, more than a few dozen ships suffered total damage from the fire. The fire on several boats at Jongor Harbor, Tegalsari, Tegal, occurred on the night of Monday (14/8/2023) around 19.00 WIB. The situation was exacerbated by strong winds, which made it easy for the fire to spread from one ship to another. This situation is further compounded by the tight distance between the boats in the port.
According to the Head of the Tegal City Polres Water Police Unit, AKP Khaerun, efforts were made to save the ships from being burned by shifting positions. However, the density of ship parking lots makes this effort difficult.
The fire is believed to have started from a ship near the Tegal City Harbor gas station. The effects of the high winds caused the fire to spread rapidly to the surrounding vessels.
Riswanto, Chairman of the Indonesian Fishermen’s Association (HNSI) in Central Java, described this fire as the largest and burned around 52 ships. Although no casualties were reported, the material impact was enormous.
The Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, suspects that the cause of this fire is an electrical short circuit. Preliminary information indicated that one of the ships experienced an electrical short and eventually caught fire. As of this morning, there have been no reports of casualties.
Joint officers and firefighters continue to try to extinguish the residual fire at the location. Even though the fire has subsided, there is still the potential for further blazes due to the presence of fuel on board. Kasat Polres Tegal Kota, Iptu Khaerun, explained that although the situation had improved, precautionary measures were still being taken to avoid the possibility of secondary blazes.

The Bridge Collapsed Because the Main Supporting Pillar Was Porous Due to the Effect of Sea Water in the Meranti Islands, Riau
The bridge in the Akar Strait area, Meranti Islands, Riau, known as the Perawang Bridge, collapsed the night before. The collapse occurred because the central supporting pillar of the bridge had weakened due to exposure to seawater.
Head of the Riau Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office, Arief Setiawan, stated that the bridge collapsed on Monday (14/8) at around 22.45 WIB. Luck was on our side, as there were no reports of any casualties in this incident.
Arief explained that the bridge, originally built in 2007, had been unmaintained for some time and needed urgent repairs. However, before any remedial action could be taken, the bridge collapsed.
The influence of seawater has made the bridge’s supporting pillars brittle and resulted in the corrosiveness of the steel structure. Responding to this incident, the Riau PUPR Service plans to build piers on both sides of the collapsed bridge. This pier will be an alternative route for people who usually use the bridge, which will be used in different trajectory directions.
Arief added that the wharf construction plan was drawn up quickly. Although the program was initially scheduled in the 2024 budget, it is likely that ways to start construction earlier, if possible, such as by using emergency funds, will be sought.
Responding to the bridge’s collapsed condition, Arief believes there is still an opportunity to repair the supporting parts by lifting the bridge. However, the team is still further checking and coordinating with the Bengkalis Regency Government in taking the next steps.

“We are conducting an investigation. We are also working with Labfor (forensic laboratory) to get a clearer picture of whether there was negligence, as well as how the SOP (standard operating procedure) was implemented there,” he explained.
Gusti revealed that the investigation effort faced obstacles because several main witnesses were also victims of the incident. For this reason, the victims are still in intensive care at the hospital.
“The obstacle we face is that several witnesses are also victims. We have to wait until their health conditions improve to take statements from them,” he added.
On record, the fire occurred at the Al Wasilah Lemo Islamic Boarding School, in Kuajang Village, Binuang District, Polman, on Saturday (12/8) at around 10.45 WITA. The fire is thought to have started from the explosion of a bottle containing thinner.
