Head of the Bandung City Fire and Disaster Management Service (Diskar PB), Gun Gun Sumaryana, said that officers received a report of a fire in the ISBI Campus area at 04.34 WIB. “The object that caught fire was the ISBI Dewi Asri theater,” said Gun Gun in his statement on Tuesday (13/6/2023).
Based on information from several ISBI employees, the fire was seen on the roof of the building and was getting bigger. At the time of the incident, it was reported that there was a rehearsal for the final assignment for the Department of Theater, Faculty of Performing Arts.
Gun Gun said that firefighters arrived at the scene around 04.40 WIB. Ten units of firefighting vehicles were deployed to deal with the fire. “Handling finished at 06.30 WIB. Treatment time is one hour and 50 minutes,” he said.
According to Gun Gun, the firefighters managed to prevent the fire from spreading to several other buildings around the Dewi Asri Building. After successfully extinguishing the fire, officers carried out cooling and inspection. The cause of the fire is still being investigated. “There were no casualties,” Gun Gun said.
Gun Gun said that it was estimated that the burned area was around 670 square meters of the total area of the building, which reached 750 square meters. Losses due to the fire are estimated to be around Rp. 500 million.

Car in Banyuwangi Burns, Owner Disappears
A Daihatsu Espass car with police number KT 1344 KA caught fire on the Benculuk main road, Sraten Village, Cluring District, Banyuwangi, East Java, on Sunday (11/6/2023) around 13.00 WIB.
The car caught fire while the owner was eating in the car. At this time, the owner of the car disappeared.
Based on witness testimony at the scene, the fire started when the owner parked his vehicle in front of a resident’s house. Shortly after that, the car owner came out and checked for possible damage around the vehicle.
After that, the car owner went to a shop near the location to buy food. After buying food, the car owner immediately got into the car.

The accident allegedly occurred on Monday (5/6). The victim reportedly slipped and fell into the milling machine while working.
As a result of this incident, the victim suffered severe injuries and received medical treatment at Wava Husada Hospital, Kepanjen, before finally passing away on Tuesday (6/6) morning.

3 Workers Burned Due to an Explosion in the Rokan Block Work Area in Siak

A truck crashed into a motorbike in Sawangan, Magelang, and one person is killed.
A box truck with police number B 9200 HU carrying a load of seaweed collided with a box truck and a motorcycle in the Sawangan area, Magelang Regency. This accident caused the death of the motorcyclist.
The incident occurred on the alternative route, Jalan Raya Magelang-Boyolali, near Sawangan 2 Middle School, Ketep, Sawangan District, at around 12.30 WIB. It is suspected that the box truck driven by CB (41), a resident of Jakarta, experienced brake failure when crossing the descending road from Ketep to Sawangan.
At that time, the box truck swayed and hit a box truck with police number AB 8457 ET carrying a load of bakpia from the direction of Sawangan. After that, the box truck continued to drive and hit a Honda Beat motorist with plate number AA 2684 VG. As a result of this incident, a female motorcyclist with the initials AW (44), a resident of Sawangan, died.
“The way the boxcar was shaking, it had lost control. It hit the box (it was hit on the right), then behind me was a motorbike. The one who said he died,” said Agung Setyawan (27), the driver of the boxcar carrying a load of bakpia, told journalists when they met at the scene of the incident Friday (9/6/2023).
“Traveling from Sleman to Semarang carrying bakpia. I was not injured, just shocked. When the car swerved, I tried to turn left until I almost fell. Then I was hit on the right because the truck swerved, and the left tire lifted,” he said.
The box truck finally stopped after it plunged and overturned on the chili farming land belonging to the residents with a depth of about 5 meters. The box truck body was damaged, and the cargo of seaweed wrapped in cardboard was scattered on the chili fields. The box truck driver suffered a broken leg and was rushed to the Merah Putih Hospital.
Meanwhile, Magelang Police Traffic Unit Head of Legal Action Unit, Iptu Junia Rahma Putri, said this accident involved a box truck, box car, and a Honda Beat motorbike.
“The incident occurred at around 12.30 WIB, on Sawangan-Ketep Public Road, near Sawangan 2 Public Middle School. The location of the incident was on a descending road, and a box truck hit a box car and a Honda Beat,” said Junia at the scene.
“This accident resulted in one person dying and slightly injured. The victim died from the direction of Sawangan towards Ketep,” he said.
Cause of this accident For the time being, the alleged cause of this accident, said Junia, is still under ongoing investigation.
