Fire at Trans Studio Mall Makassar, Dozens of Visitors Got Stuck and Short of Breath

Dozens of visitors to Trans Studio Mall (TSM) in Makassar were trapped in a fire on the eve of Idul Fitri 1444 Hijriah. The fire is thought to have started from a photo shoot booth made of flammable cardboard. When the fire grew, hundreds of visitors ran out to save themselves. However, most trapped visitors were on the upper floors and were obstructed by flames on their way to the exit. They had to save themselves on the balcony at the entrance without being able to get out because of the thick smoke that covered their view. The evacuation process lasted nearly two hours with the help of a joint military/police apparatus and health workers. Many victims experienced shortness of breath due to the thick smoke inside the mall. The fire will certainly be extinguished at 21.00 WITA. There are no reports of deaths, but several victims are still in the process of collecting data at the hospital. The process of evacuation and sweeping in the mall continues to be carried out to ensure that no victims are still trapped.

Nissan Grand Livina Fires Again, Allegedly Due to Heat Absorbers

Two Nissan Grand Livina cars caught fire in one day in Indonesia. The video of the incident went viral on social media and became a hot topic of discussion.

It is unknown exactly what caused the fire, but several sources said that the hood insulator or heat sink in the engine room could be one of the causes.

Although there were no casualties, the flames scorched part of the vehicle’s body. PT Nissan Motor Distributor Indonesia (NMDI) Head of Marketing, Julian Olmon, said that his party could not yet comment on the cause of the incident.

Olmon advises Nissan Grand Livina car users to bring their vehicles to an official repair shop for checking or investigation so that the information obtained is not just speculation.

Various things, such as problems with the fuel system, electricity, fuel hose leaks, inadequate electrical circuits, weathered hood insulators or heat sinks, etc., can cause car fires.

Therefore, routine maintenance and checks are needed to prevent unwanted things from happening to the vehicle.
