Baby Delivery Malpractices in Bangkalan. The baby was born with its head separated
Investigation into Alleged Malpractices in Childbirth in Bangkalan Continues
Investigations continue regarding alleged malpractice in the process of delivering babies in Bangkalan, which has shocked the public. This incident is now the focus of an investigation by the Bangkalan Police Criminal Investigation Unit.
Handling of this case began after receiving a report from Sulaiman, the victim’s husband. According to the report submitted, the incident occurred on Monday, March 4 2024, when his wife, Mukarromah, was about to give birth at the Kedundung Community Health Center, accompanied by her aunt.
From Sulaiman’s report, it is planned that Mukarromah will be referred to the Syamrabu Bangkalan Regional Hospital to undergo a caesarean section. However, the delivery process at the Kedundung Community Health Center did not go according to plan, with the baby being born in a difficult position, resulting in the baby’s head being left in the womb.
This case is being investigated by the police, who are currently examining several witnesses and related parties, including the midwife who handled the birthing process and members of the victim’s family. However, Mukarromah himself was not present at the examination.
If malpractice is proven, the perpetrator will be charged under the applicable articles. Previously, the Bangkalan Health Service had denied any malpractice, stating that Mukarromah’s baby had died in the womb before the delivery process at the Community Health Center.
