Deep sorrow enveloped the city of Pasuruan and the families of the victims after two Super Tucano planes crashed in an unexpected tragedy. Four brave officers, who were carrying out their national duties, had to end their journey with a tragic fate. The two planes crashed in two different locations, leaving big question marks in the minds of the public.
Until now, the exact cause of this terrible incident has not been revealed, even though both planes were declared airworthy. The evacuation of the four victims was carried out with great sadness, and their bodies were buried at Abdulrachman Saleh Air Base Malang, awaiting burial at TMP Malang and Magetan City.
The Beginning of the Discovery of Airplanes
The story begins with a loud sound of objects hitting the ground, which shocked residents who were active on the slopes of Mount Bromo. Unexpectedly, they witnessed a rare event, the crash of two Indonesian Air Force fighter planes at once.
At around 12.00 WIB, the incident attracted the attention of residents who then immortalized the moment on videotape. The video spread through social media, conveying this terrifying incident to the entire country.
At one of the plane crash locations, several residents were even quite close to the burning wreck of the plane. The dramatic atmosphere can be seen in the short video footage, where the still-burning wreck of the plane suddenly explodes, creating panic among residents.
A 9-second video shows the moment the plane exploded, accompanied by screams and calls to stay away from the location. This incident created a tense atmosphere among residents who were worried about further explosions.
Chronology
The Indonesian Air Force confirmed that two Super Tucano aircraft, belonging to Air Squadron 21 Abdulrachman Saleh Malang Air Base, crashed in Pasuruan during a training mission. The four planes were carrying out formation proficiency training, a routine usually carried out by Indonesian Air Force pilots.
At 10.51 WIB, the four planes took off. Unfortunately, while in space, the four planes lost contact at 11.18 WIB. Only two planes made it back to base.

The community expressed its deep condolences, while the Indonesian Air Force prepared to investigate the exact cause of this tragedy, paying their last respects to the fallen heroes.

Fire Flattens 13 Residents’ Houses in Semarang Regency, Allegedly Caused by Burning Candles
Plasan Jangglengan Hamlet, RT 05 RW 07, Dadapayam Village, Suruh District, Semarang Regency, witnessed misfortune when 13 houses belonging to 10 families caught fire on Saturday (18/11/2023) at around 20.00 WIB. Although fortunately there were no fatalities, 32 people were forced to flee because the fire destroyed residents’ houses, the majority of which were semi-permanent construction.
According to the Head of Plasan Jangglengan Hamlet, Kasyadi, the source of the fire started from candles lit by residents when the electricity went out. “This incident occurred when the electricity went out. Residents lit candles, but unfortunately, the candles actually started the fire,” said Kasyadi. The difficulty of access and the long distance from water sources means that firefighters face obstacles when trying to extinguish the fire. “The road to residents’ houses is narrow, and water is difficult to reach, so the extinguishing process is hampered,” he added. Currently, the fire victims are temporarily taking refuge in a nearby relative’s house.
Head of Satpol PP and Damkar for Semarang Regency, Anang Sukoco, stated that the extinguishing effort involved six fire engines from Semarang Regency and Salatiga City. “The fire was successfully extinguished on Sunday (19/11/2023) at around 01.00 WIB,” he explained.
The fire victims include, Catur Wahono (4 people), Didik Suparyo (4 people), Sutarto (3 people), Nuri (3 people), Wiyono (5 people), Widodo (3 people), Pujiyanto (5 people) , Sutarno (4 people), Sarini, and Ramelan.
The Regent of Semarang, Ngesti Nugraha, immediately visited the scene to provide assistance and express concern for the fire victims. “We are all concerned about this incident and hope that the victims will be given courage and strength,” he said. He also promised support in meeting the residents’ needs and hoped that the process of rebuilding burned houses could be carried out immediately. The Regent also reminded the public to be alert to strong winds, considering the extreme dry season which could increase the risk of fire.

A dramatic incident occurred in the waters of West Kotawaringin (Kobar), Central Kalimantan (Kalteng), when the wooden ship carrying fertilizer, KM Cahaya Mulia II, suddenly caught fire. Prior to this tragic event, mysterious explosion sounds were heard around the ship, sparking concern among local residents.
Head of the Fire, Rescue and Infrastructure Division, Dwi Agus Suhartono, provided insight regarding this incident to detikcom on Monday (21/11/2023). “According to information from residents in the field, we cannot confirm his identity, but he was in the area where the incident occurred when he heard the sound of an explosion,” said Agus.
This dramatic incident occurred at the Tanjung Puting Tourism Harbor, Kumai Pangkalan Bun Waters on Monday (20/11) at around 05.00 WIB. Agus said that the ship was carrying 10 crew members (ABK) and had been docked for two days waiting to be unloaded. At the time of the incident, the ship was known to be empty, and all the crew members were on land.
Information about the ship fire was received by the authorities at around 05.25 WIB. When the authorities arrived at the location, the ship had shifted towards the Kumai River because it was being carried away by the current. The extinguishing process only began after successfully bringing KM Cahaya Mulia II to shore, with the help of a KPLP tugboat which happened to be nearby.
“The KPLP ship tried to approach the Cahaya Mulia II ship and was moved to the opposite side of Panglima Utar Kumai Harbor to carry out blackout activities,” explained Agus.

Three cars in a series of collisions in Malang experienced serious damage
A series of accidents rocked the Jalan Soekarno-Hatta area, Malang City, on Monday evening (20/11/2023), just before midnight. Three vehicles were involved in the incident, but fortunately, no casualties were reported. However, this incident caused serious traffic jams around the culinary area.
Head of the Malang City Police Traffic Unit Gakkum, Ipda Isrofi, explained that the accident occurred at around 23.30 WIB, in the vicinity of Permata Bunda Hospital, Soekarno-Hatta. The vehicles involved include a Pajero with plate number N 1376 BJO, a Toyota Avanza with plate number N 1096 HU, and a Daihatsu Sigra with plate number N 1063 HF.
This incident started with a Pajero car driven by Hadiwijaya (29) from Surabaya, driving from south to north. The Pajero then hit the back of the Avanza car driven by Syari (19), a student from Subang, West Java. As a result of this collision, the Pajero went out of control and swerved to the right, entering the eastbound lane in the opposite direction.
Isrofi explained, “The Mitsubishi Pajero car continued to drive south, then swerved to the right again, eastwards until it passed the park dividing the middle of the highway, until it entered the opposite flow, then another traffic accident occurred with a Sigra car driver driven by Febrian (34).”
The Pajero car was speeding and hit the front of the Sigra car which was traveling from north to south. This incident only ended after the Pajero crashed into the Daihatsu Sigra minibus. Although this series of accidents resulted in damage to all three vehicles, fortunately there were no fatalities or injuries.
Initial suspicions suggest that the Pajero driver may have been less alert when traveling at high speed, especially on roads with few curves. Police found no indication of the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs in this accident.
Although there were no injuries, all three cars involved were damaged. The Pajero car suffered scratches on the right body and damage to the right front body. The Toyota Avanza suffered serious damage to the rear body, broken rear body glass and front body damage. Meanwhile, the Sigra car suffered front body damage.
The three vehicles involved in the accident are currently under the handling of the Malang City Police Traffic Unit’s Gakkum unit. This case is still under investigation to understand the exact cause of the series of accidents that occurred that night.
