In a series of collisions in Bandung, a truck loaded with Hebel hits a car until it is wrecked
Bandung was shocked by a series of accidents that occurred on Jalan Buah Batu, Bandung Kidul District, on Tuesday (18/2) at around 09.00 WIB. In this incident, three vehicles were involved, including two large trucks and a Daihatsu Granmax car.
According to information from Aiptu Toha Ekalana from the Gakkum Unit of the Bandung Police Traffic Unit, the accident started when a Fuso truck carrying packages stopped at the U-turn location due to another vehicle turning around. Behind him, the Daihatsu Granmax car also stopped. However, suddenly a truck carrying hebel sped up from behind and hit the Granmax until it was destroyed!
“Initial suspicion is that the driver of the truck carrying the hebel was sleepy so he couldn’t anticipate the vehicle in front of him,” said Toha.
The hard impact severely dented the front and rear of the Grand Max. In fact, the driver of the ill-fated car suffered an injury to his leg and was immediately rushed to Sartika Asih Hospital in Bandung for medical treatment.
As a result of this accident, traffic on the Buah Batu Canal Road was badly jammed, especially from the Buah Batu intersection to the location of the incident which was around 600 meters away. However, after the evacuation efforts were completed, traffic conditions returned to normal.
Currently, the police are still carrying out further investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident which shocked motorists around the location.
