  1. Consecutive Accident of 1 Car-3 Angkot in Bogor, 5 People Injured

Jakarta – A series of accidents involving four cars occurred on Jalan Raya Ciapus, Sirnagalih Village, Tamansari District, Bogor Regency. Three of those involved in the accident were bus drivers.

Bogor Police Chief AKBP Iman Inanuddin said five people were victims of the accident, one of whom was referred to the hospital. Iman confirmed that there were no casualties in the accident.

“Five victims, one was referred to the UMMI Hospital, four have returned home, no victims died,” said Iman when asked for confirmation Monday (14/11/2022).

It is known that one of the injured victims who was rushed to the hospital was a bus passenger.

Head of the Bogor Police Satlantas Traffic Unit Head Ipda Angga Nugraha said the four vehicles involved were the first Ford car with number plate B-1246-COM driven by EF (54), the second vehicle with number plate F-1993-AQ driven by MS (24), the third vehicle with number plate F-1947-LU driven by US (39), and angkot number F-1954-BY driven by A (23).

“The accident occurred around 09.00 WIB,” said Angga in his statement.

The accident started when the four vehicles drove from Bogor City to Ciapus. Then the Ford car went on the right side of the road because the left side of the road was being cast.

“While passing by the side of the road that had not been cast, it hit the back of a public transportation vehicle with number F-1993-AQ,” he explained.

The bus then pushed forward after being hit. The angkot then crashed into another angkot with the number F-1947-LU.

“Then the bus pushed forward again and hit the bus vehicle with number F1954-BY,” he explained.

The angkot then turned left onto the road that was being cast. The vehicle also hit a power pole.

The police have taken care of the accident site. The accident was allegedly caused by a lack of concentration.

“The cause is suspected to be a lack of concentration,” concluded Angga.

  1. Falling into a Molten Aluminum Furnace with a Temperature of 720 Degrees Celsius, This Man Saves Himself

ST GALLEN, KOMPAS.com – A worker fell into a 720-degree Celsius molten aluminum furnace at a factory in Switzerland but managed to save himself.

Daily Mail reported on Friday (11/11/2022) that a 25-year-old electrical technician fell into a furnace filled with boiling liquid aluminum while working at a factory in St Gallen, northeastern Switzerland.

The young man was submerged in molten metal up to his knees but managed to fight back the pain and pull himself out of the furnace.

He was working with a colleague in an aluminum kiln on Wednesday (9/11/2022) evening.

The man fell into the circular opening at the top of the furnace. Two doctors and paramedics were immediately flown in for emergency rescue at the factory. He was then taken by helicopter to a hospital with severe burns.

The City of St Gallen Police is investigating how the accident occurred. Some severe incidents of factory workers have been reported in recent years.

Earlier this year, a packaging company pleaded guilty to violating health and safety regulations after a grandfather “saved his own hands” following an industrial accident.

Christopher, an engineer working for Riftward Limited in Wrexham in, England, was working in a packaging plant two years ago when his hand pulled inside the machine.

After recovering the severed body parts, Christopher Wright, 59, put them in a bag to take to the hospital with him, where he underwent hand resection surgery in an 11-hour operation.

The horror of the incident he suffered was brought to light when his employer was fined £115,000, currently the equivalent of more than Rp 2 billion, for being found to have violated health and safety laws.

Even though his hands were reattached, Christopher had to endure a lifetime of pain and struggle to hold his grandson in his arms.

That same year, a young woman suffered permanent injuries after her right arm was dragged into a rolling machine at a salt factory.

Courtney Herbert (18 years) experienced excruciating pain after her arm was caught in a machine at the Pacific Salt factory in Whyalla, South Australia, on April 17, 2020.

The woman was taken to the hospital for surgery and suffered damage to her tendons.

Pacific Salt, the producer behind the popular Olsson’s Salt, was taken to the South Australian Employment Court after the incident and pleaded guilty to violating the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

  1. Houses Damaged by a Tornado in Kuningan Increase

Kuningan – Buildings affected by a tornado in Siteari Village, Darma District, Kuningan Regency, have again increased. Until now, it was reported that 12 housing units were damaged.

The Head of Siteari Endin Village said that the strong wind that hit his area on Friday (11/11) afternoon yesterday caused the roofs of residents’ houses and the Siteari Village Office to blow. This causes the tiles to scatter and then fall to the ground.

“So the incident occurred around 18.00 WIB. Only 12 points have been reported,” Endin said to detikJabar, Saturday (12/11/2022).

Endin revealed that local residents panicked when strong winds suddenly appeared. In particular, as illustrated in the amateur videos of residents spread via WhatsApp chat rooms.

According to Endin, the Siteari Village office suffered the most severe damage. The roof behind it was destroyed, and only a few ceiling pieces remained.

“The wind speed is greatest under the Siteari Village Hall. Then it rises and blows away the roof. It can be seen that it is destroyed,” said Endin.

It has yet to be able to detail how much the total loss suffered as a result of the incident. Even so, Endin was grateful because there were no injuries or fatalities.

“There have been three typhoons in Siteari Village. But it’s been a long time. For material losses, it might be the same as the damaged roof of the village office,” he said.

Meanwhile, from detikJabar’s monitoring at the location, government activities at the Site Village Office were temporarily paralyzed. The most severe damage was seen on the destroyed roof. Then along with some ceiling debris that fell to litter the floor.

Until this news was published, the Kuningan District BPBD Team still collected data on the damage to people’s homes in Siteari Village.
