Terrifying! Car plunges into a 50 meter ravine on the SSB Boyolali route, passengers survive with only minor injuries!

A fatal accident occurred on the Solo-Selo-Borobudur (SSB) tourist route in Boyolali, where a Honda Mobilio car plunged into a ravine about 50 meters high. The accident involved five passengers, including the driver, who luckily survived without loss of life.

According to the Head of Boyolali Police Traffic Unit, AKP Agista Ryan Mulyanto, this tragic accident occurred at a sharp bend in Dukuh Candi Baru, Genting Village, Cepogo District, Boyolali Regency. The car, plate number K-8403-NK, was part of a group that came from Jepara and was headed to Magelang.

The car driver, ABD (41), a resident of Kudus, suffered minor injuries and was treated at Pandan Arang Regional Hospital. Four other passengers, namely MK (36), SNT (40), AK (43), and SHL (43), all residents of Sukodono, Tahunan District, Jepara Regency, survived in varying conditions. MK and SNT did not suffer injuries, while AK and SHL underwent road treatment.

The chronology of the accident began when the Honda Mobilio minibus was driving from Boyolali towards Magelang. When arriving at a sharp corner and going uphill, the car lost control, hit a road divider, and plunged into a ravine. The car finally stopped upside down at the bottom of a ravine with a slope of about 45 degrees.

The cause of the accident is thought to be because the driver had not mastered the terrain conditions, especially on a route with many sharp turns and uphill roads. The police appealed to people crossing the Boyolali-Selo route to always be careful, recognize the signs and pay attention to the condition of the winding route.

The Boyolali-Magelang road from Cepogo to Selo is known to have winding road conditions and many sharp turns. Therefore, it is important for drivers to understand the terrain, check their vehicle before traveling, and obey traffic signs for safe driving.
