A fire that destroyed a resident’s house occurred today in the Wonokromo area, Surabaya, on Sunday, August 27, 2023. This fire incident occurred at Jalan Ketintang XI Block PJKA, Wonokromo District, Surabaya City, East Java, around 19.12 at night.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Tragedy on JORR Toll Road: Boxcar Collides with Barrier, Driver Squashed to Death<\/b><\/h3>\n

    A boxcar with police number A-8343-VM had a single incident on the JORR Toll Road in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta. The vehicle’s driver, Tarmidi (50), was found pinned to death in this incident.<\/span><\/p>\n

    According to Kompol Sutikno, Head of the Highway Patrol Unit (PJR) Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya, this incident occurred on Tuesday (29\/8\/2023) around 05.10 WIB, right at kilometer 13,500 of the JORR Highway to the east.<\/span><\/p>\n

    “The driver was found dead on the spot, and he was pinned in the chest,” said Sutikno in his statement on Tuesday (29\/8\/2023).<\/span><\/p>\n

    Sutikno explained that initially, the boxcar was driving on the JORR Highway to the east. However, when it reached 13,500 kilometers, the driver suddenly lost control of his vehicle.<\/span><\/p>\n

    “Right at kilometer 13,500 to the east, the box vehicle with police number A-8343-VM is suspected of having the driver fall asleep and unable to control the car,” he explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The driver lost control and finally hit the separator on the off-ramp toll road.<\/span><\/p>\n

    “The vehicle hit the dividing barrier on the Ciledug off-ramp toll road and squeezed his chest,” he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Palembang Mechanic Tragic Event Killed by Heavy Equipment in a Work Accident Until His Body Was Crushed<\/b><\/h3>\n

      A mechanic who worked for a company in Kebun Bunga Village, Sukarami District, Palembang, lost his life due to a work accident on Friday (25\/8\/2023). The victim Denny Hendra (46), died instantly due to his body being crushed and broken bones, especially in the cheekbones, because a heavy machine destroyed it.<\/span><\/p>\n

      The process of saving the victim involved using an excavator to lift heavy equipment parts that fell on their bodies. When evacuated, the victim was still seen holding a wrench in his hand.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Suratman (50), the victim’s cousin, explained that he received news from the head of the local RT about the death of his younger cousin due to a work accident.<\/span><\/p>\n

      “When I was told that my younger cousin died as a result of a work accident, it turned out to be true,” said Suratman when interviewed at the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n

      According to Suratman, the victim had worked there for over a year.<\/span><\/p>\n

      “Anyway, he’s been working there for a year, but I don’t know his job,” he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

      Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sukarami Police, Iptu Denny Irawan, explained that the victim died after being hit by heavy equipment that suddenly fell.<\/span><\/p>\n

            Collision Tragedy: Sigra Cars and Fuso Trucks Collide in Kampar, 5 Lives Lost<\/b><\/h3>\n

            The tragic accident occurred when the Daihatsu Sigra car collided with a fuso truck on the Pekanbaru-Bangkinang causeway in Rimbo Panjang Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency, Riau, on Wednesday (16\/12\/2020) around 05.30 WIB.<\/span><\/p>\n

            In this accident, 5 passengers of the Sigra car died. Head of Public Relations of the Riau Police, Kombes Pol Sunarto, revealed that four victims died at the scene (TKP), while one other victim breathed his last at a hospital in Pekanbaru.<\/span><\/p>\n

            “The five victims were taken to the Arifin Achmad Hospital in Riau Province in Pekanbaru City,” he said in a written statement received by Kompas.com on Wednesday.<\/span><\/p>\n

            In this incident, it is suspected that the negligence of the driver of the Sigra car was the cause when it hit the rear right side of the truck.<\/span><\/p>\n

            “The accident was allegedly caused by the negligence and lack of vigilance of the driver of the Sigra car, namely Kemal Akbar. The victim was driving his vehicle at high speed and ignored the distance between the vehicles in front of him,” said Sunarto.<\/span><\/p>\n

            The accident started when the Fuso truck turned from Pekanbaru to Bangkinang. Upon arriving at the TKP, the car turned around to head back to Pekanbaru. At the same time, the Sigra car was traveling at high speed from Pekanbaru to Bangkinang.<\/span><\/p>\n

            With such a close distance, the collision could not be avoided, and the Sigra car crashed into the truck’s right rear.<\/span><\/p>\n

            Four passengers died at the scene, while one other victim struggled in the hospital and finally breathed his last. Sigra’s car suffered significant damage.<\/span><\/p>\n

            “The fuso truck driver fled the scene, left his vehicle, and was reluctant to help the victim. The truck driver’s identity is still under investigation,” said Sunarto.<\/span><\/p>\n

            After the incident, officers from the Traffic Unit (Satlantas) of the Kampar Police immediately went to the location to evacuate the victim. In addition to causing casualties, material losses are estimated at Rp 30 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

              A motorcyclist known by the initials NR (17) was carried away by a flood on Jalan Viyata Yudha, Pematang Siantar, on Sunday afternoon (27\/8\/2023) around 18.20 WIB.<\/span><\/p>\n

              It is suspected that the victim fell from his motorcycle while trying to pass through a puddle of water pouring and overflowing on the road.<\/span><\/p>\n

              This student studying at SMA Negeri 6 Pematang Siantar was found dead after being swept away by a wave of water.<\/span><\/p>\n

              Agustina Sihombing, the Executive Head of the Pematang Siantar Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), explained that the victim was previously carrying passengers on his motorbike.<\/span><\/p>\n

              The victim rode a motorbike on Jalan Viyata Yudha in Setia Negara Village, Sitalasari District, Pematang Siantar City, towards evening.<\/span><\/p>\n

              At that time, suddenly, the victim fell from the motorbike and was dragged by the flood currents into a ditch. Luckily, the passengers behind him survived this incident.<\/span><\/p>\n

              The victim with the initials NR is a resident of Jalan Antara Kanan in Setia Negara Village, Sitalasari District, Pematang Siantar City. After being found, residents took the victim to the hospital.<\/span><\/p>\n

              But unfortunately, the victim’s life could not be saved. The victim’s body was then transported and placed in the funeral home. “This victim was riding a motorcycle with a passenger behind him, but only the passenger survived and has returned home,” Agustina said in a statement.<\/span><\/p>\n

              Azhady (20), a resident, explained that heavy rain with high intensity had hit the Viyata Yudha area from 16.00 WIB until late afternoon.<\/span><\/p>\n

              Jalan Viyata Yudha often experiences flooding when it rains heavily, especially if the rain lasts more than one hour. This condition becomes very dangerous, mainly because the road has a slope, so the water rushes down.<\/span><\/p>\n

              “Two people rode on a motorcycle. One was rescued, but the other did not make it because the water was swift and immediately took him to a ditch leading to a culvert,” Azhady told journalists at the scene.<\/span><\/p>\n
