This time, it happened to aIqbalLa Econ (21), an employee of PT Halmahera Jaya Feronikel\u2014a subsidiary of PT Harita Group\u2014which operates in Kawasi Village, Obi District, South Halmahera Regency, North Maluku.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ikbal was found dead buried under a pile of coal on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 7:00 PM WIT, after being reported missing at 9:00 AM. His whereabouts were only revealed after CCTV footage was reviewed by a co-worker on the night shift.<\/span><\/p>\n

The victim worked as a documenter of coal piles near the conveyor belt. Based on information gathered, the victim is believed to have fallen into the coal pile that morning. Unfortunately, none of the supervisors or coworkers were aware of the incident until that evening.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Usually, Iki (the victim’s nickname) is always the first to invite us to lunch. But earlier, I didn’t see him at all,” said one of the victim’s friends.<\/span><\/p>\n
