Textile Factory Fire Tragedy in Tangerang: 6 Dead and Huge Losses<\/span><\/h3>\n

On Tuesday night, June 24, 2025, a massive fire broke out at a textile factory in the Cikupa industrial area, Tangerang, Banten. The fire started to grow at around 21.30 WIB and quickly spread to all parts of the factory building used for the fabric production process.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to witnesses and firefighters, the fire is believed to have started from an electrical short circuit in the main engine room. The rapid spread of the fire and the volume of flammable materials in the factory made extinguishing efforts very difficult. Six workers who were inside the building at the time of the incident did not have time to escape and were found dead due to being trapped by smoke and very high heat.<\/span><\/p>\n

Firefighters from Tangerang and surrounding areas were deployed with dozens of fire engines and managed to control the fire after more than five hours of fighting. The losses due to the fire are estimated to reach tens of billions of rupiah, including damage to buildings, production machines, and raw material stocks.<\/span><\/p>\n

The police, together with the industrial investigation team, are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire and assessing whether there was any negligence in implementing safety standards at the factory.<\/span><\/p>\n
